Andrew Tavukciyan – Ceci n’est pas Andrew Collection

Despite the prevalence of minimal aesthetics in design and architecture today, we as designers shouldn’t shy away from incorporating elements of ornamentation in our work.

Ceci n’est pas Andrew is a collection of artifacts for the home or studio that intends to reintroduce ornamentation in design in a contemporary context. These artifacts were produced through a series of material explorations using appropriated objects. The overwhelming nature of this space is meant to emphasize a consistent visual language that can exist and be interpreted in any form.

This collection aims to open up discussions about ownership, appropriation, personalization and the boundary between art and design.
