Situated in Vancouver’s Kerrisdale neighbourhood, this penthouse was designed as a refined winter retreat for a client with Danish roots and an affinity for Scandinavian design. The space blends comfort, utility, and simplicity—hallmarks of the Nordic aesthetic—with a focus on maximized functionality.
The entryway is a thoughtfully planned, multi-use space featuring a built-in sitting area and integrated closet. Neutral tones throughout provide a calm backdrop for curated artwork, including a standout piece by Ken Wallace. Custom millwork and built-in storage are seamlessly integrated throughout the home to suit the client’s needs while maintaining clean lines and visual clarity.
White oak flooring, flat-faced cabinetry and a custom integrated dining table contribute to the minimalist interior. A custom media unit conceals the television, and a slatted feature wall cleverly hides the A/C unit while allowing for airflow—engineered with a removable panel for easy maintenance. All furniture was sourced from Inform Interiors and a custom-designed area rug adds texture and warmth.
The result is a serene, highly functional space that effortlessly balances form and function—tailored for winter living with Scandinavian elegance.
