This modern urban home was designed to meet the needs of an active family of four and features a sleek, contemporary aesthetic paired with thoughtful functionality. With three bedrooms and three bathrooms, the design emphasizes low-maintenance features while ensuring a comfortable and efficient living space. Key highlights include an open-plan kitchen, a luxurious primary bedroom with an ensuite and open closet and a detached garage that doubles as a fitness studio.
The relatively small site, at just 306 square meters, presented challenges in maximizing floor area and optimizing circulation within the home. To address this, a concrete and glass staircase was located centrally, minimizing the need for long hallways and improving the overall flow of the space. Abundant natural light floods the interior through generous windows at the front and rear, while a skylight above the staircase brings brightness to the core of the house.
Durable, low-maintenance materials such as metal cladding and polished concrete floors were chosen for their longevity and industrial elegance. The gently sloping site was carefully considered, allowing for seamless access to a rear patio that integrates the indoor and outdoor living areas. The result is a modern, light-filled home that combines practicality, luxury, and flexibility for long-term family living.
