JUN Studio is a stunning example of exceptional design that seamlessly blends luxury with comfort. Nestled in the picturesque South Granville neighbourhood of Vancouver, BC, this space emphasizes hand-crafted and custom-made pieces, combined with an elevated and organic ‘Tulum-meets-Florence’ aesthetic.
The space is awash with natural light, thanks to the southwest-facing oversized windows, which create a sun-kissed glow that illuminates the 18-foot walls. The soft textural element of natural lime wash paint used throughout the salon evokes a spa-like ambiance that enhances relaxation. The organically shaped mirrors of the makeup station complement the flowing nature of the walls and created a sense of effortlessness.
The use of bold Italian Viola marble throughout the space balances the overall softness and adds a note of sophistication. The reception desk is clad entirely in the grain-matched stone, intersected with an asymmetrical white oak purse shelf.
A beautiful curved waiting bench with sage green velvet upholstery and matching bolster, floats adjacent the reception desk and is echoed in the shape of the nearby makeup station. To meet the lighting requirements for professional makeup application a serious of sconces in vintage brass were installed and paired with a sculptural pendant light for added impact.
